Jay Hassey is a founding father of the Hasski Fall Classic, and sometimes, a golfer. He likes to think of himself as a man of the people. In 2009, the people clamored for a golf tournament with copious amounts of alcohol. Jay Hassey obliged. In 2013, the people suggested a change of locale. Jay Hassey obliged. And in 2014, when the people pushed for a Bob Ankenbauer invite, your damn straight Jay Hassey obliged!
When he’s not busy helping Bob Stanley run the show, Jay spends most of his time trying to figure out whether he’s a righty or lefty. After a tumultuous 2010 Hasski showing and the subsequent mental abuse that followed from Team Captain Ed Conley, Jay developed the shanks. Never quite recovering, in 2015 he abandoned 20+ years of golfing righty to switch to lefty, which he had never done in his life. The dividends are already paying off, and he’s excited to be able to hit a ball straight again.
Unfortunately for all parties involved, Jay Hassey is also the Treasurer of the Hasski Fall Classic. Known as a compulsive gambler, this will surely come back to bite the field one day soon.
